Description	Sanctuary.... New Association for all alternative lifestyles!!! The group was formed to provide a social base for people who live lifestyles that do not conform to widely accepted norms. Catering for all alternative lifestyle needs, we provide a friendly environment to meet, listen to music, share experiences, and offer assistance to other Sanctuary members where required. Initial interest has been amazing with a rapidly growing membership base, with attendances at the monthly meetings reaching 30 - 40 people. Sanctuary is run by a committee of 9 and all ideas are proposed to the members and voted on. The meetings are held the Friday after Hydra at the Morecambe Hotel, Lord St, Morecambe. Everyone is made to feel very welcome and Membership is an initial £2 plus £1 per month. All fees go towards organised events, E.G. Comment:	Excellent group of people - You are made to feel very welcome and encouraged to get involved Great for all ages including those members of the "alt" scene who now have families - a section of the scene who often miss out due to childcare commitments - Also gives the kids somewhere to meet other kids with parents as "weird" as their own. Plenty of adult only stuff as well though Very active group - Something to do nearly every other week (but only if you want to - no pressure)

Comment:	As AmethystDragon said plenty of family activities going on, some of the summer events organised for members are: Paintballing at Warton,Witchcraft Exhibition in Bolton, Summer Solstice w/e camping trip & entertainment at the Morecambe Hotel including bbq's. We also have Junior Sanctuary were the children are encouraged to come up with ideas of their own of what they would like to do. Later in the year we will be looking at more Theatre Trips,& a Medieval Banquet to name a few.

Comment:	Yes, TraditionalGoth and I have just moved up from London, we went along after chatting to a few people on Vintage Gothic. They are indeed lovely, and child-friendly, and very welcoming indeed!

Comment:	Update for meets - Sanctuary now meet the first Friday in every months at The Morecambe Hotel, Lord Street, Morecambe, Lancashire. Upcoming events include craft days, trip to Sisters of Mercy, weekend away in Nottingham to see Dog's D'amour and an Alternative 4th July (Squeal like a piggy boy) BBQ on the 7th July - Dress up as Gothic Hillbillies and have a very interesting night out
