The Tiv was once a decent place for rock music. but the new management decided rock was dead. trendies ruled.. By all accounts the wed night is normally full of school kids and trendies.

Tis true, Thursday night (Rock Nite) isn't too bad. I personally find the club a bit intimidating because of the fact of the dance floor in the centre being lower than the edges where others stand and watch those dancing-eeeep! *grin* Drinks are pretty decently priced though-they have good offers on! :)

rock night is moving next month to every first saturday, they've 'promised' a good live band each month, but knowing the tiv it'll be more local bands, but might be worth checking it out to see how promising it turns out to be

The Tiv, my home for as long as i can remember has been brought to ruins by trendies! (ah well there is a surprised) A Club that once was the biggest and best live music venue in North Wales. It seems that the management have finally realised where the roots of this club actually lie. Well heres to the Tiv Past, Present and Future and may the rock/goth community regain its desire to frequent this club again.

the wednesday alternative night is now a student night catering for alternative & r'n'b music. So it's well worth avoiding now, but the rock nights much better than it used to be, which is on fridays so it's worth checking out the dj's are friendlier on this night too.

Rock nights will be back with a passion as new manager ushers the Tiv back to how it should be, or as far as he can manage. The man who actually managed to get a rock/alternative night at Greg's in Nantwich has made it his mission to put the Tiv back on the map. Bands for gigs are being researched as we speak as the alternative night goes from strength to strength. Would you be surprised if I mentioned he was a friend of mine?

Went to Friday night Rock night. Downstairs played Nu Metal but upstairs where we went was the older stuff, they Played Sisters, Cult & Terrorvision. The crowd were very friendly as were the staff. Lager was cheap at £1.50 a pint and as it was only £4.50 to get in it was quite a cheap night (not counting petrol) and well worth it. We will go again, hope to see you there. :-)
