From the A6 head towards the shopping precinct but instead of going into it, turn the right, walk towards the Chestergate Pub, and turn left. | Description | Stage Door is a theatrical shop first and a novetly shop second. A great shop in the centre of Stockport from where make-up, wigs and other such stuff can be bought. It has also started to retail a small selection of gothic clothing. (First shop is Stockport to sell gothic clothes since the demise of Cobwebs several years ago) |

| The shop has a lot more clothes now than it did and has dedicated the back of the top floor of the shop to gothic/band/emily starnge type clothes. They're not that cheap but have some very nice stuff. |

| Stage door is no longer the only shop in Stockport to buy Fancy dress products. There is a little stall in the indoor market 'Dress up and Party' who stock loads of fancy dress products, from witches to childs bunny suits. They are cheaper than Stage Door and are from the same manufacturer.

| The shops alternative section is called "the dead boutique", it's the official new rock stockist for stockport and has developed quite a good selection of clothes and accessories.Up to now you could only find pretty basic things but beautiful corsets,interesting skirts and cyberwear will shortlly be available there too.the staff are friendly and helpfull and its generally a pleasent place to shop.Their website: www.deadboutique.com is fun and Halloweeny and also involves games,the only thing missing at the moment is the stock so it will be a while till you can buy online. |
