| Pub name | The Ship |
| Location | Surrey |
| Town | Croydon |
| Street Address/Directions | Go to the library and just behind it, opposite the top of Surrey Street is the mighty Ship ; ) |
| Description | The Ship, a metaller pub for as long as living memory allows : )
Tuesday nights is big Yankee Peter, a Thorsman who loves his Gothabilly and Darkwave. Ask him nicely and he'll prolly play yer stuff ; )
Thursday nights is Big Gay Zigs night of kiche. You'll have prolly seen ziggy at slimes as he practically lives there (south african block who supports celtic and has a blue mihican). He is the slimer who trained myself (amongst many others) and is therefore entirely to blame ; )
Zig loves his old stuff as well as good beer drinking music and doesn't mind requests : )
Saturday night is traditional rock so can be a cool warmer upper for going on to the Cartoon (another rock night) that was quite cool last time I went (not too packed but good music none-the-less) or on to Slimes : )
Wierdoes have always drunk in this pub, and prolly always will : ) |

| Update!
Wednesdays are now joining in the fun. Alternate weeks, DJ Sean plays Classic, 80's, and prog rock, with a little goth industrial thrown in. DJ V plays a bit of goth, a bit of metal, a bit of rock, a bit of punk and loads of 80's electronic and cheese!
Thursdays: Ziggy is still DJing, but the night has changed and is now being called the Johnny Stomp. (His many female admirers objected to the previous name)He plays a great selection, including:
Nick Cave, The Cramps, NMA, Bauhaus, Dead Kennedys, Misfits, Alien Sex Fiend and many more. He is still taking requests if you ask nicely.
Ziggy no longer has any hair :( and is not so often seen at Slimelight as he has run off with his playstation.
The Ship is a great pub with a great atmosphere and the bar staff are particuarly attractive and rather groovy! |

| Peter seems to be drifting towards Rock 'n' Roll more these days. Good tunes though : ) |

| Also does good food during the day when the noise-merchants aren't in. I can recommend most of the menu! |

| I work there and DJ there everyother wednesday and i thoroughly recommend it to everyone! Plus Ziggy is lovely ;P I would say that, but its true! The pub is great and has something for almost anyone. With a great selection of ales and a vegetarian menu selection as well as meat, served from 12 until 7. Plus two kinds of cider, blackthorn and the very lethal adlestones! Watch out for its own website coming up www.theship.org.uk |

| "truth" is both her name and what she speaks, if you can forgive her bias towards Ziggy. The Wednesday DJ's are the best of the week (you might have to wait for some tracks you like, but it's worth the wait, and THEY SELL BEER!!) - where else are you as liekly to hear Wolfsheim as Chesney Hawkes? Okay, she has her failings, but we forgive her as she's so lovely...

| Hi there V! ;-) Just for reference, and given Croydon's bizarre London/Surrey existence - there is another, equally comprehensive (but different) review of The Ship if you search for it in London, as opposed to Surrey! |
