| Description | This place is worth a visit if you happen to be in Manchester. A bar/restaurant with an amazing interior made up from reclaimed church architectural detailing - corbels, pilasters, coving, arches, balconies even a pulpit make up the maze-like interior of this place, candles abound too! Couldn't get much more gothic! There are four levels in here, with many cozy places to sit 'round the back, a 'banquet-style' eating area, plus a basement and a couple of in-between areas a little lower than the ground floor. The food here can be pretty varied - last time I checked they had wild boar sausages. The only downside is that, in the evenings, the music here is very loud and very tacky. As it is a gay/gay-tolerant bar, the door staff can be very selective about letting people in , but as long as you don't look like a scally or a hen-party they seem ok. Have seen many a group of alternative types here, on their way to a club. |

| I've only been to this Via Vossa once, but I am definitely planning to go again. The interior is a goth heaven, I was told its made up of the interiors of old churches. The atmosphere during the day is good and its certainly a place to lurk whilst looking "Hammer Glamour" -ous!! |
