Side project of Psychic TV's John Balance & Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson (also of Throbbing Gristle) that became a full-time venture in 1984. They make imaginative electronic "deep listening" music to experience & frequently dance to, favouring provocative themes involving sexuality & the occult. They've recorded tracks for Hellraiser (unused but subsequently released), covered Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" & are featured at NYC's Convergence 7.

Seminal. Probably the best of the "older Coil", quite accessible and remeniscent more of World Serpent than their more minimalistic newer work.
