If you can get the digipak version of this album then you should. It's hard to find, but has some exclusive tracks on, and gets rid of the strange ones with the odd sound effects.

Ahhhh, Wolf Moon. What a great song. Definitly the best on the album. Definitly a great album, although not the best. But what by TON isn't good?

Don't buy this thinking you're getting something that makes much sense. Don't buy this expecting a great album.
This is a collection of live stuff and curiosities, and feels very different to later, darker stuff. Its the very definition of Raw.
Buy it, but don't expect a comfortable listening experience.

SD&H bears a few of Steele's Carnivore trappings while hinting at the Type O sound that would be established with the release of 'Bloody Kisses'. A concept album of sorts, the album concerns itself with the breakdown of Peter Steele's longterm relationship, his partner's unfaithfulness and his subsequent suicide attempt. If you're ever dumped by a girl slip this on and know you're not alone ;) An underrated classic.

As far as career retrospectives go, this isn't too bad - plenty of obscure stuff on here, some of which makes it worth the purchase (the rare B-sides, the exclusive tracks) and some of which are simply great songs in somewhat pointless 'alternative mixes' or edits. Featuring tracks from each of Type O's releases except 'Origin Of The Feces', this provides a good introduction to the band, but the stand-outs have got to be their fantastic take on 'Black Sabbath' (you see, _this_ is how you do a cover version!) and the brilliant studio version of 'Hey Pete'. But buy all their albums anyway.

Some tracks on this album are so personal, even painful, listening to them feels like reading somebody's diary. With that said, the music is great, and the little illness-themed intermission tracks provide ambience that seems to stem from Peter Steele's sadness at the loss of losing family members ("Lung" being a good example).
The stand-out tracks are Everyone I Love is Dead, Pyretta Blaze, and World Coming Down. The Beatles medley is hilariously funny, somehow, especially for fans of the Beatles.
