Description, by dishmop
Another one of the early 80's gothic punk brigade, Skeletal family seem to have fallen off the face of the earth, although their material tends to emerge on 'best of' compilations since one or two of their tracks are truly great (Trees, She cries alone), with the rest of the material certainly in the 'good' category.

one of the best live bands of the eighties and the reunion gig on 5/12/02 at the Cockpit in Leeds brought back fond memories. Shame no Anne-Marie although Katrina's voice is spot-on for the "new" stuff (Restless, What goes up etc.)If you missed the Skels in the eighties, make sure you see them this time round - then you'll have records you'll listen to for life.

One of the many jangly-guitared post-punk bands which imploded just as they were making a bid for stardom. This compilation includes all of their best material, including the haunting singles She Cries Alone , The Night and Trees . Many of the tracks also exhibit examples of early-1980's tribal drumming. (There's even a cover of the Batman theme tune!) Highly recommended.
