Description, by mushroom
Producing music in the same vein as bands like Einstürzende Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle and Test Department, the notorious shock industrial noise collaboration SPK [which has stood for Surgical Penis Klinik, Sozialistische Patienten Kollektiv, Seppuku and System Planning Korporation] were founded in Australia in 1978 by percussionist Derek Thompson [an orderly in a metal home], Neil [a patient] and vocalist Sinan. Graeme Revell [composer, electronics, vocals] joined in 1984, who went on to produce soundtracks for films such as The Crow and Basketball Diaries, and music for films eg. The Craft. |
