DescriptionCafe Pride is basically the best, brightest and most excellent gay bar Salisbury has ever had ( I don't count the Duke of York, that's yucky). Anybody, gay or
straight, male or female can go in there as long as you behave tolerantly towards everybody. And they LOVE goths in there, esp if you dress up, bring a bit of glamour into the place and drink lots of aftershocks and take advantage of the drinks promotions they have on every week. And on Friday's there is a cabaret (drag queens, bellydancers, singers, comedy acts etc) and then the lovely gothlet star DJ Moonlight from Nighthouse DJ's on Friday and Saturday nights. 'Kin Good Night Out.
Opening Hours12pm-12am Mon-Sat, 12pm-10.30pm Sun

Cafe Pride closed down a couple of weeks ago. I don't know the exact circumstances but I think it has something to do with money. So I'm currently unemployed. If anyone needs a DJ you know where to find me . . .

Cafe Pride has temporarily closed down due to financial problems. Some investors have put up sme money for its re-opening, which we all look forward to.

Cafe Pride closed down because of a few reasons. Yes, it was losing money, but also the staff and some customers became rather cliquey - which is fatal for a gay venue. Salisbury is a notoriously backward town and perhaps it was always going to be difficult keeping such a club running. Great shame, as I had many brilliant nights out there - remember the Christmas party in August when DJ Moonlight dressed up as the Sugar Plum Fairy???

It's now re-opened as a tapas bar which we thought meant nice Spanish food. But doesn't. It means a few bits of food, prettily arranged for a stupid price. From what I've heard (as I work in the pub opposite it) is that they've pretty much doubled the drinks prices (about 3 quid a pint now I think).

Apparently, someone went into the tapas bar (called Mojitos) and asked for a mojito and they didn't even know what one was....The Duke of York has bucked its ideas up now and is now a better gay bar than before...saw a HILARIOUS and very rude puppet show there last year, courtesy of Damien...
