Club nameThe Mandrake
LocationAvon
TownBristol
Street Address/DirectionsAccross the road from The Hatchet (near the stairs to get up to Park St.)
DescriptionMetal, nu-metal, gothic, alternative club that is held in a old cellar. I have not been to this for a looooong time, but remember seeing a goth crowd.

Does Usually attract a younger audience and gets very busy, so might not be everybody’s cup-of-tea. Try it if you got nothing better to do, but don't hold your breath. Every Thursday.
Opening Hours10.00pm - 04.00am

The music is alrighty every now and again. The drink prices are okay. I'ts only 2 quid to get in. Other than that, the place sucks.

Not a lot has changed here in about a year. But credit where due, it is quite a nice little dinge hole. A few familiar faces, and the usual familiar tracks. Some goth, night ended with 'Temple of Love', so i was suprised. Give it a go if you have a free thurs eve. cheap drinks. x

Is now running "Rock of Ages" which is a journey through (shockingly) rock throughout the ages. Decent enough though tends to have played far too many Black Sabbath tracks for my liking in the past. Nevertheless - cheap and cheerful, though the numbers seem to waiver from half empty to totally empty....

I don't think anything alternative goes on here these days...

The mandrake was a fine venue but rather unfortunately has not been used for a number of years for anything alternative, another one to remove from list until this changes?
