| A potentially good venue but the music leaves a little to be desired. Cheap spirits, which is good when listening to Linkin Park for the third time in an hour. One question remains unanswered though: why does the queue at the bar never get any smaller? Don't expect any goffic tunes, but there's nothing else to do on a friday... |

One dancefloor with indie etc (everything from Placebo to Blur to the Undertones!) and the other dancefloor full of mini-moshers |

| Star scares me, I am not that old and I always feel over the hill. If you like to watch 15 year olds get drunk on cider and get slagged off for not being a skater, go along. Not that I am anti- them, just being judged on apperance all the time and the mad gang mentality. If you go get drunk before hand.... it helps |

| I'm not a big fan of Star. The music is crap in both rooms (Avril Lavigne in the Indie room wtf?!?!), the drinks are okey, they do sell food though which is good and they have a massive cloakroom so no worries there. But I think it's too much for what it's worth now that it's gone up to £4.00, and it's full of moshers and teenyboppers who look underage. I think the main problem with Star for me is that it's too big, once one of your mates walk off that's it, yuo've got no chance of seeing them again for hours as there's about a million different ways to get from place to place (it's like a figure of 8 or something) and you end up going in circles constantly at the end of the night when you're trying to round each other up to go home. |
