| It's a terrible place. Don't ever bother going at all, you have to drink Coca Cola all night or you get thrown out. My best mate just got thrown out for nothing more innocuous than dancing to Dandy Warhols (after paying over £6 to get in!!!!!!!). They mustn't have liked his jacket, that's the only conclusion we can come to.... |

| I'm just posting to disagree with the comments above. I'm sorry his mate got thrown out and all, but hey are one of the main gig venues in sheffield (although the bands vary alot) and one of the few clubs in sheffield where I can go any night of the week dressed in whatever the hell you like, get in and get very little hassel for what is at the end of the day a mainstream club, not an alternative venue. Hallam Roc. Soc. has made semi-regular visits to their 60's nights for the last couple of years and never had any real hassel. If you fancy a change and a mainstream night, then the music here is as good as most, and the staff/customers more tolerant than most of the neadathal towniee clubs in Sheff. |

| Afraid i have to agree with Leatherkax on this matter the Leadmill though sporting a varied music pollicy and event s list is on th whole a terrible place i have for some years visited this place for gigs since I was probably about 13 seeing Teenage Fan Club there first I think and Tool in 1994 and Gong and a host of other bands.
However of late it has been full of people trying to act like they are hanging in the gheto. |
