Street Address/DirectionsBehind the Coach House, Milford Street
Salisbury
Wiltshire
DescriptionBasically, this is a large converted stable behind the main body of the Coach House. It has bands every week or so, check the Salisbury Journal for details. Recently, I've seen The Cureheads (excellent tribute band), Kirk Brandon from Theatre of Hate and Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols there. The inside is painted all black and it has its own bar, fag machine etc. Nearby are plenty of chippies, Chinese/Kebab/whatever takeaways.

The Black Pig closed temporaily at the end of last summer because someone blew up the PA and the owner caouldn't be arsed to replace it. The Coach House was recently taken over and is now an Italian restaurant so I have no idea what's going to happen to the Black Pig. We've been trying to get it to open again as there is now a serious lack of alternative venues in Salisbury (what with the Wilton under new management and the Arts Centre being refurbished). But will see what happens as I have heard a few whisperings (which I won't post here incase they turn out to not be true).

The Black Pig hasn't existed for some time now, it is now called The Barn, and is supposed to host 'Indie' nights and bands, but when me and a couple of mates have been there it has been anything BUT Indie.
