I love the cookie club !! It is definately the best club in Nottingham. Basically it is about the same size as the average sitting room so it can get a bit intimate at times !! It is usually really friendly and I always have a great time there -- especially on Retro nights and on the now infamous ~Punk/Ska night they once held but seem to have never repeated...

i laughed at the 'rustic' term. It's a bit of a mess and the size of a shoe box, yes. But it is moving to a different venue soon. Most of the staff are goth-types (including myself.) I recommened the friday 80's night. It's mostly alternative based. Lots of Romo!

Update! The Cookie Club moves to premises on St James Street, a much larger venue holding about 400 odd rather than the current venue's 130 (I think) in mid September. Till then, join us for Spellbound (First Tuesday of the month) or the funky 80's Fridays. (And say hi to me behind the bar!)

The new club has now opened, 22 St James Street, just off the Square. The venue is MUCH larger, with room for 465 instead of 140, and has a much bigger range of drinks. The decor might not be goth, but Spellbound will still be on the first Tuesday, and we've retained most of the old Goth staff. (me included!) SO! With so much more room, we need more people to come along- so get here!

alternative 80s nights on fridays are really good. a little expensive to get in, but well worth it. just wish they went on longer. get all sorts of alternative 80s tunes played, as well as some funky poppy ones, and if you get bored of the 80s, there is always upstairs and the 90s stuff.

Trying to pluck up the courage to pop in one of these months. Never been before, for the fact that im not a goth, and never have listened to goth, industrial etc until recently, when a close friend introduced me to a couple of bands and urges me to come along. What to wear what to wear? Dont think id look the part in my usual jeans and Burzum shirt *shudders*

SPELLBOUND is a fantastic night. Got my dance on several times to some really good music. A chilled out atmosphere. Great to break up the week a little.

I went to this place when it was at the old venue haven't been there since(not a local!), the old place was tiny and the drinks were a bit expensive but a really original club and great atmosphere. There were free jelly babies on the door that night which helped!
