This place is designed for people less than five foot tall, which isn't really good news if you're a (male) goth. I went last saturday, and was impressed by the music, but less than impressed with the hordes of townies populating the place. The bouncers didn't help either, talk about testosterone overload... Although my girlfriend's night was marred by presence of far, far too many townies, *I* enjoyed myself. I hope i caught it on a bad night...

They do play different music on different nights-you can sometimes sneak a couple of hours of Cure, Sisters, Bauhaus and so on.I've discovered you won't get anything like Rosetta Stone (unless the DJ was in a grumpy mood that day) but they sometimes play the more mainstream kinds of goth music. Swap foors now and again-I have many happy memories of dancing to cheesy Soft Cell songs ;)

This club is great! the place is full of atmospher, as soon as u walk in you know its going to be a good night. but be warned the top floor (death metal) quickly fills with all sorts of ppl and by the end of the night the floor is totaly packed.

Right - when somebody mentioned the name 'Warehouse' I was expecting something a little on the large side but no quite the opposite in fact - more like a shoe box. But I had a great night, the different music on each floors is refreshing though being on the top floor with everybody banging away was a little scarey. For some reason I got thrown out and I cant for the life of me remember why

In terms of music, i believe this is the best place to go in Preston. By this, I mean that they are not conformed to playing the "in" songs by particular bands (ie SOAD - Chop Suey, Tool - Stinkfist), which places such as Quinceys and Aqualenium/Storm seem to be. However, the venue itself restricts how good your night will be. Because of the cramped space throughout, i've never had more than an "OK" night there. I think everyone should experience The Warehouse at least once though!

The Warehouse initially started out to be a good alternative night club to go to, but for some reason, in the past couple of years it seems to have opened the gates to a large veriety of loutish "can't get served anywere else, so I'll come hear and annoy every one that looks different fom myself" townies. the music has in my oppinion has gone down hill, the floors are sticky and smelly, the beer is crap, and as for the bouncers they only seem to chuck people out, if one of them decide that they don't like your face. The worst thing you can do with these guys is complain about somthing, your most likely to be draged around the back and beaten up (note: this comes from experience). your better going to dark-cide up stairs at the blowing wild on grimshaw street, its just a couple of minutes walk. (walk toward action records, its the street directly opposite), although this now only occurs every 3rd saturday of the month

it depends on what night you go on. there is also the mill which hosts night for unsigned bands to play then a club night afterwards. but between the mill and the warehouse and the pubs in preston you can have a preetty much full week
