DescriptionElektronic Shock & Throb

A spin-off club of Dark-Cide. This is an all new event featuring gloriously pounding and dark underground electronic music.

Styles range from EBM, Electroclash and Cyber, to Harsh/Rhythmic/Techno Industrial, Noise and more...

With Miss j616 as the main DJ (and guests at certain points throughout the year).

Doors are from 9pm until 2am. Fully Licenced bar. (no admission after midnight & over 18's only!), and as always, we reserve the right to refuse admission

Door price is £3.50

The music will be very different to Dark-Cide, so please don't expect to hear the same kind of things. A lot of it is very underground and may be unfamiliar, but it's all aimed at the dancefloor and will be a treat to dance to. Check the site for a better idea of what to expect.

Also, it will be a lot less 'request' orientated than Dark-Cide (which can sometimes be up to 95% requests !!). This is because the DJ sets are much more structured and mix intensive.

So if you'd like to make a request please email it in advance to j616@616abortions.net

Requests may be made on the night though there is no guarentee it will get played (but may be worked into a set at the next event)

Dates for 2005 are all Fridays
28TH January
11TH March
27TH May
23RD September
25TH November
Opening Hours9pm-2am

The Electro-Cide night is on indefinite hold as sadly we never were able to get enough numbers together. BUT we'd still love to do one-off events every-so-often, so if you'd be up for a FULL-ON night of hard beats and throbbing machine-mayhem email me at alixjane@hotmail.co.uk and it'll help us gaugue the demand for another one, and organise it so hopefully everyone who came along last year comes at the same time, and we can have a viable night were the numbers can just about cover the costs etc. THANX - Miss 616 & the electro-cide collective

darkcide's this year are: Sat 12th September: Dark-Cide @ 53 Degrees, Preston [in the 400 capacity Club Room] from 11pm - 3am £4 (18+ only R.O.A.R.) with a free warm up event at The Ship (just across the road from 53 Degrees and about 70 yards down) from 8pm-11pm Featuring Lancaster's 19NINETYNINE live and 'The Batcave Hour' from 8pm-9pm Sat 10th October (the same, but with VIOLET VORTEX playing live) Then Sunday 29th November: From Austria, Dark-Cide and Electro-Cide are very proud to present Imperial Austrian Industrialists NACHTMAHR playing live at 53 Degrees With support from UBERBYTE (Sheffield) and KOMMAND+KONTROL (London) and DJ sets N.B. These are the only dates this year due to the very high costs of 53 Degrees (but the venue is outstanding and well worth it!!) and the high demand the club is from very high profile mainstream events. If the events are a success there are dates pencilled in for 2010 so please come along and support the Dark-Cide if you can as to be residents there and be able to put on more concerts in the future would be fantastic for everyone.
