Please note that Ara will now be on the fourth Friday of the month, not the third. This means that the next one will be on the 28th May.

A wonderful place, and a great alternative to the regular smokey, dingy, sweaty night club experience. It's also good to stop off here prior to going to Jilly's, as it's a lot more conducive to meeting new people and generally socialising.

I had a fantastic time last night at Ara's New year's Eve event. It was friendly and they played a great mix of music ranging from black metal to EBM. The 'dark catwalk' was a particular highlight. So well done to everyone who helped organised this wonderful event. x

Ara is an excellent club run for goths by goths. The music played there is good and varied. The people who go there are friendly and the atmosphere is warm. Ara has a drinks policy which is simply bring your own and store it in their fridge. I highly recommend this venue as it makes a refreshing change from the usual goth type club.
