| Description | Every Tuesday there is a night of rock, metal and punk music currently dj'd by Evil Biscuit (mostly) down at the student's union. If you are not a student you can get in by knowing one, so if this applies to you a butterfly net and specimen jar may be a worthwhile investment! Tis generally very friendly and lively with a wide selection of different types of music, recently including CradleOF, old skool, and more black metal etc! And obviously the drinks are cheaper. Entry is £3 to non-members. |

| Having had the thrill of attending a Uni open day, the very idea of attending anything here is disturbing... unless you like very 'modern' decor(yellow and orange walls and mirrors everywhere). tis a disturbing place *suggests the union should consider equal opp's for those other than 'trendies'... |

| Well our first MIG Soc night went rather swimmingly, they will see much more of us in the weeks after xmas. Provisionally it is on random tuesdays from whenever until 1pm, the site is updated regularly with news and events; www.mig-soc.co.uk. Since it is the metal, industrial and goth society I just think it deserves a mention... ;) |

| I would not recommend the union at all - even the students there are mostly unfriendly towards 'alternative' types during the daylight hours - and the bar staff made a point of not serving us before the 'trendies' so after 25mins of waiting in a not particularly busy bar we left! |
