| A bijou venue on a par with the Phono. Carpe Rectum at the 1in12 has a good mix of music thoughout the night in a cosy atmosphere. The folk who run the place are friendly.
Can be a pain in the arse to find though if you don't know Bradford very well.

| how more goth can u get than a converted warehouse in the stinking end of an industrial city, compklete with bats circling the ally outside. always a good friendly atmosphere, and a general mickey taking out of self feel, with the dj playing anything from the sistrers to chaos engines remake of barbie girl! really cheap bar and so many lauchs ur make up will crack |

| warning: if you don't like insalubrious, basic venues, *DON'T* come here.... the phrase "no frills" doesn't even begin to cover it.... the place wasn't the cleanest, the bar selection was limited, and they served me the most godawful terrible pint of cider I've ever had in my life...
on the plus side, the Carpe Noctem crowd are friendly and unpretentious, fabby opening hours (at least at the post-Infest do), and the music policy was GREAT.
Definitely a night where folk don't take themselves seriously.... like Bar Phono, I think I'd be disappointed if I travelled all the way to Yorkshire just to go to this place..... but if you're local or visiting anyway, it's a fun night.
Just don't drink the cider :-D |

| Its a dump to be fair, its goth but who cares with cheap foreign beer that gets you really hammered i like it. Nice people, request friendly djs often has dodgy goth bands. Its ok for a nice relaxing evening somewhere different if you have had enough of 'intense' clubbing. I shall return. |

| Small and dark - black even, friendly staff, good extra-strong lager - good opening times - top music. A proper seedy Goth drinking bar just like the old days - Only been once, but will return. Don't go expecting anything large or fancy as you'll be disappointed. Recommended. |
