Went to Nightmare for the first time last weekend, I enjoyed myself alot, even though there was hardly room to breathe with the amount of people there. Really good night out.

Agreed - very enjoyable, nice mix of people and a good choice of unpretentious music. For thin people only though as you have to squeeze past the bar queue to get to the dance floor which appears to be in someone's back bedroom (expect a long wait at the bar - although bar staff were surprisingly pleasant given the crush :). The attic room (first time I've been in a one-up-one-down nightclub) looked a bit less crowded but has no bar and no dancefloor. Excellent handrail in the entrance - worth a looksee. Overall, nice atmosphere, bit too popular on its opening night - bring a shoehorn and don't wear anything sharp and pointy on the dancefloor or you could go home with an extra eye.

Went to Nightmare hoping for Goth, btu found bleep instead (industrial/electro/whatever you call it :)) Very hot. Wear either light cotton or something you dont mind sprinkling with water every half an hour to keep cool. One up, one down. We went upstairs to chill out and chat, but it the speakers were just as loud upstairs. Bar prices seemed ok, and service fairly fast. Its difficult to run downstairs to dance to your favourite tune as there are so many people in the way. Have decided that the best way to overcome this would be by the implementation of a fireman's pole! And when's the airconditioning coming? Crowd is young, which is good, though.

My single favourite night outside London. Sweet little venue (especially now the aircon's fixed) and the soundest crowd I've ever met. Tendency to afterpartying is nearly certain month on month. Music isn't really a goth program, it's a bit of goth and a mixture of cyber, industrial, EBM, techno, metal, Hard House... The present tagline of 'Music for Weirdos' sums it up nicely, as do the setlists available on the website forums, go peep if you're curious. This night's made moving back to the UK from Switzerland bearable...

I might have only been twice, but Ive had an excellent night both times. Ill definatly be along more often. Maybe bigger premises need to be found?

Top night. Great mix of music from trad to noise. Fab and friendly atmosphere. Nice to see a place with a chill out room as well... to rest after all that dancing.
