Description, by jen

Consisting solely of its 4 original members - David J Haskins & his brother Kevin, guitarist Daniel Ash & Peter Murphy - stark, artsy Bauhaus is arguably the epitomic goth band even today. Shortly after appearing in classic 80s vampire flick "The Hunger", they broke up & started other ventures (Tones on Tail, Love & Rockets, solo stuff). They reunited to tour in 1998, but there's been no new Bauhaus stuff apart from "The Dog's a Vapour", a cheerful little number for the Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack.

Good old Bauhaus. The first proper goth band and one of the greatest. From the tongue in cheek nature of "bela lugosi's dead" to the sublime "silent hedges" Bauhaus usually leave a lasting impression. If you havent listened to them yet- go and find a copy now. You wont regret it.
