Description, by jen

Side project of Psychic TV's John Balance & Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson (also of Throbbing Gristle) that became a full-time venture in 1984. They make imaginative electronic "deep listening" music to experience & frequently dance to, favouring provocative themes involving sexuality & the occult. They've recorded tracks for Hellraiser (unused but subsequently released), covered Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" & are featured at NYC's Convergence 7.

Seminal. Probably the best of the "older Coil", quite accessible and remeniscent more of World Serpent than their more minimalistic newer work.

Coil have always produced the perfect music to play in the dark, and now they've embraced that with this excellent two album set. But a word of warning, play it in the dark when you're alone - and you'll soon be convinced that you're no longer alone...
