Von Spook Promotions presents
Berlin Black + In Isolation + obLONG @ The Maze
Von Spook Promotions brings you an extra special event with 3 amazing bands.
Producing one of the most exciting sounds on the UK's alternative scene Berlin Black and the Shades of Grey mix together elements of post-punk, glam and new-wave to produce a sound and look all of their own.
Formed by former Screaming Banshee Aircrew and Luxury Stranger Guitarist Chris Tuke, their debut E.P. in 2010 "Burn it Down" quickly became a favourite on the dance floors of the dark spots across the UK and this success was mirrored by the Dominion Chart-Topping single "The Only Ones".
Berlin Black are continuing to impress, producing one of the freshest sounding E.P.s in 2012: "It's Only Natural". Mixing elements of Gang of Four, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Simple Minds and Bauhaus this E.P. is certain to please fans of post-punk and new wave.
Described as “An elegant mix of post-punk, glam, goth and new-wave.”
In Isolation is a Noir Wave Indie band from Nottingham, influenced by the more underground post-punk sounds of the 80s plus overground New Wave artists of that era. Adding influences from the Indie sounds of the Noughties and post-Noughties, the band creates a sound your ears may very well want to dance to.
As seen at this year's Dark Waters Festival, come obLONG. Fronted by a tiny hypnotic northern girl, a guitarist that Satan would be proud to call a brother, the drums by the grandson of a man that recorded with the Beatles and toured with Sinatra and the bass playing from the son of a Spanish ex-nun and a man named Jesus. This is the sound of aggression in a time where society is falling apart and it’s fucking loud! This is obLONG.
Doors Open at 7pm for a bargain price of £4
See you at the bar!
